The total production of oil, including NGL and condensate, amounted to 63.4 million Sm3 o.e. in the first nine months of 2013; a decrease of 6.3 per cent or 4.3 million Sm3 o.e. compared to the same period in 2012. There were 72 oil fields in production, four of which started production in 2013; Hyme, Jette, Skarv and Skuld.

Gas production

The production of natural gas continued to increase until 2012. In the first three quarters of 2013, the total gas production ended at 79.7 million Sm3 o.e.; a decrease of 4.8 per cent or 4 million Sm3 compared with 2012. Natural gas production made up 50 per cent of the total petroleum production in the first nine months of 2013. Four new fields started gas production in 2013.
