The total production of oil, including NGL and condensate, amounted to about 53 million Sm3 oe in the first six months of 2013; a decrease of 10 per cent or 5.9 million Sm3 oe compared to the same period in 2012. There were 68 oil fields in production, four of which started production in 2013; Hyme, Jette, Skarv and Skuld.

Gas production

The production of natural gas continued to increase until 2012. In the first two quarters of 2013 the total gas production ended at 55.4 million Sm3 oe; a decrease of 6.7 per cent or 4 million Sm3 compared with 2012. Natural gas production made up about 51 per cent of the total petroleum production in 2013. Four new fields started gas production in 2012.
