Lower interest rate on outstanding housing loans

The fixed interest rate on new loans secured on dwellings to households fell by 0.11 percentage points in April. The floating interest rate on loans outstanding secured on dwellings fell by 0.02 percentage points.

The interest rate on new loans secured on dwellings from a sample of banks and mortgage companies to households was 3.01 per cent at end-April; an increase of 0.02 percentage points since the previous month. The fixed interest rate on new loans secured on dwellings to households increased to 2.55 per cent, while the floating interest rate increased by 0.01 percentage point to 3.09 per cent.

The households’ interest rate on outstanding housing loans was 3.26 per cent at end-April; a decline of 0.03 percentage points compared to the month before. The fixed interest rate on the households’ outstanding loans secured on dwellings fell by 0.01 percentage point in April, while the floating interest rate fell by 0.02 percentage points.

Lower interest rates on repayment loans

The interest rate on new other repayment loans to non-financial corporations increased by 0.15 percentage points to 3.37 per cent at end-April. For loans outstanding, the corresponding interest rate was the same as the previous month, at 3.50 per cent at end-April.
