The seasonally-adjusted figure of unemployed persons remained unchanged from August (average of July-September) to November (average of October-December), according to the Labour Force Survey (LFS). In comparison, the number of people registered as unemployed or on government initiatives to promote employment with the Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) increased by 3 000 from August to December. This figure is also based on seasonally-adjusted figures and three-month averages.

The LFS shows that the seasonally-adjusted number of employed persons decreased by 4 000 from August to November, a change within the error margin. Taking the LFS error margin into account, the number of employed persons has remained unchanged throughout 2015. However, since the population aged 15-74 years has increased in the same period, there has been a decrease in the employment rate. The unemployment rate was 67.7 per cent in November, down 0.3 percentage points from August.
