Continued decline in bankruptcies

690 bankruptcies were registered in the last quarter of 2007. This is a decline of 12.4 per cent compared with the corresponding period in the previous year. In 2007, the number of bankruptcies was 6 per cent lower than in 2006.

The total number of bankruptcies in 2007 was 2 845. The county of Vest-Agder had the largest decline in per cent, with a 40 per cent decrease in bankruptcies from in 2006. The county of Rogaland had the largest decline in absolute figures, with 60 fewer bankruptcies than the year before.
