Sports and Internet stores had an increase in sales of 11 and 15 per cent respectively during the first four months of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014.

The total turnover in retail sales in this period was more than NOK 137 billion; an increase of 3.3 per cent compared to the same period the year before. By comparison, the Index of retail sales also showed an increase of 3.3 per cent during the same period.

In March and April (2nd period), the retail sales had a turnover of almost NOK 72 billion; an increase of 3.8 per cent compared to the 2nd period last year.

Trade and repair of motor vehicles up 5.7 per cent

Sales and repair of motor vehicles totalled NOK 71 billion in the first four months of 2015; a growth of 5.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

In the second period, the sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by 8.0 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

Wholesale of NOK 274 billion

The turnover in wholesale was NOK 274 billion during the first four months of this year; an increase of 1.0 per cent from last year.

In the second period, the wholesale turnover was 3.1 per cent more than the same period in 2014.
