Increase in retail trade

The turnover in retail sales was NOK 423 billion in 2013, which corresponds to a growth of about NOK 8 billion or 2.0 per cent compared to 2012.

By comparison, the Index of retail sales showed an increase of 1.7 per cent during the same period.

In November and December 2013 (the sixth period), the turnover rose by 2.0 per cent or NOK 1.6 billion compared with the same period in 2012.

Trade and repair of motor vehicles increased

The total sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by NOK 6.9 billion from 2012 to 2013; a growth of 3.6 per cent.

In November and December 2013, the sales and repair of motor vehicles increased by NOK 1.1 billion compared to the same period in 2012. This corresponds to an increase of 3.6 per cent.

Wholesale for NOK 843 billion

The turnover in wholesale was NOK 843 billion in 2013. This is an increase of NOK 17.6 billion or 2.1 per cent compared to 2012.

In November and December 2013, the turnover in wholesale was NOK 2.5 billion or 1.7 per cent more than the same period in 2012.
