Retail sales up NOK 7.2 billion

Retail sales - with the exception of motor vehicles and petrol - increased by NOK 7.2 billion duriong the first eight months of 2005 compared to the same period in 2004. This is equivalent to an increase of 4.3 per cent.

Retail sales increased by NOK 2.6 billion, or 5.7 per cent in July and August (the 4th period) in 2005 compared to July and August 2004.

NOK 27.9 billion increase for wholesalers

Wholesalers increased sales by NOK 27.9 billion in the first eight months of 2005 compared to the first eight months of 2004. This is equivalent to an increase of 7.7 per cent. In July and August 2005 wholesalers increased sales by 7.0 billion or 7.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2004.

Sales of motor vehicles rose by NOK 3 billion

Sales of motor vehicles rose by 3.0 billion or 5.0 per cent the first eight months of 2005 compared to the same period in 2004. Retail sales of automotive fuel increased by NOK 1.6 billion or 6.7 per cent, during this period. Sales of motor vehicles and automotive fuel rose by 6.2 per cent in July and August 2005 compared to the same period 2004.
