Strong growth in washing and dry cleaning

The turnover within personal services increased in the second period of 2008 compared to the same period in 2007. The turnover within washing and dry cleaning of textile and fur products had an increase of 8 per cent compared with the same period in 2007.

Service Statistics. NOK million

The turnover in washing and dry cleaning of textile and fur products was NOK 331 million in second period.

The turnover in hairdressing and other beauty treatment was NOK 1 164 million in the second period 2008. This is 7 per cent higher compared with the same period in 2007.

In March and April of 2008, funeral agencies and businesses in related activities had a turnover of NOK 173 million, an increase of 4 per cent compared with the same period the year before.
