Minor increase in retail sales
The seasonally-adjusted volume index of retail sales showed an increase of 0.2 per cent from February to March 2013. This follows a somewhat higher growth in the previous two months.

Grocery stores, petrol stations and online sales contributed to the increase from February to March. Retail sale of clothing, shoes, household goods and furniture are among the industries that experienced a decline in sales volume during this period.
