Lower retail sales in December

The seasonally adjusted volume index of retail sales decreased by 0.3 per cent from November to December 2005.

Retail sales volume index, seasonally adjusted. 2000-2005

The volume index not adjusted increased by 3.4 per cent in December 2005 compared with December 2004. The value index of retail sales increased by 2.2 per cent in this period.

Corrected indexes for November

The value and volume indexes for November 2005 are corrected. This correction makes up for 0.2 per cent concerning the in total index. This is due to that from November 2005 and forward we have a new and improved method for estimating the turnover for enterprises started after the last sample of enterprises is established.
