Retail sales up 0.8 per cent

From October to November 2005 the seasonally adjusted volume index of retail sales increased by 0.8 per cent.

The volume index not adjusted increased by 4.4 per cent in November 2005 compared with November 2004. The value index of retail sales increased by 3.7 per cent in this period.

International comparison

A comparison of turnover for retail trade, seasonally adjusted, shows that Sweden increased mostly by 1.9 per cent from October to November 2005. In Norway the increase came to 0.8 per cent and in Denmark 0.2 per cent. From November 2004 to November 2005 the value index not adjusted, rose by 6.7 per cent in Sweden, 5.0 per cent in Denmark and 3.7 per cent in Norway.
