Retail sale of health foods rose 15 per cent

Retail sale of health foods rose 15.4 per cent in November 2000 compared with November 1999. In the period January-November 2000 retail sale of health foods increased 16.4 per cent compared with same period 1999.

The total value index of retail sales increased 2.9 per cent in November 2000 compared with November 1999. The volume index rose 0.4 per cent and the price index rose 2.5 per cent in the same period. Retail sales figures exclude motor vehicles and petrol. The seasonally adjusted index of retail sales increased 0.8 per cent from October to November 2000.
