A minor increase in salmon export price

In the period from 26 December 2016 – 1 January 2017 the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 73.53 per kilo. This is a minor increase of 0.6 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 10 408 tonnes in the period 26 December – 1 January. This is 30.7 per cent less than in the previous week, 19 December – 25 December when exported volume was 15 026 tonnes. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show lower export volumes. 

Norway exported 101 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 57.31 per kilo in the period 26 December 2016 – 1 January 2017.
