Increased salmon price

In the period from 16 May – 22 May the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 65.71 per kilo. This is an increase of 5.7 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 12 320 tonnes in the period 16 May – 22 May, down 28.7 per cent compared to the period 9 May – 15 May. The public holidays whit Monday and the Norwegian constitution day occurred on the 16 and 17 of May respectively. This led to the low export quantity.

Norway exported 200 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 50.17 per kilo in the period 16 May – 22 May.
