Decrease in salmon export price

In the period from 29 December 2014 – 4 January 2015 the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 45.57 per kilo. This is a decrease of 3.5 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 9 466 tonnes in the period 29 December – 4 January, up 14.0 per cent compared to the period 21 December – 28 December. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show low export volumes.

Norway exported 114 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 51.14 per kilo in the period 29 December – 4 January.
