Increase in salmon export price

In the period from 22 December – 28 December the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 47.20 per kilo. This is an increase of 11.4 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 8 305 tonnes in the period 22 December – 28 December, down 55.9 per cent compared to the period 15 December – 21 December and 1 205 tonnes more than in the same week a year back. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show low export volumes.

Norway exported 266 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 39.57 per kilo in the period 22 December – 28 December.
