Increase in export price of fresh salmon

In the period from 23 December to 29 December, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 50.58 per kilo. This is an increase of 4.2 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 7 100 tonnes in the period from 23 December to 29 December, a decrease of 68.6 per cent from the period 16 December to 22 December and 250 tons less than in the same week a year back. Note that weeks including Christmas and New Year normally show low export volumes.

Norway exported 111 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 41.22 per kilo in the period from 23 December to 29 December.
