Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 25 March to 31 March, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 37.93 per kilo. This is an increase of 5.3 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 10 986 tonnes in the period from 25 March to 31 March, a decrease of 40.2 per cent from the period 18 March to 24 March. Like in previous years, the salmon export was low in Easter week.  

Norway exported 357 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 35.12 per kilo in the period from 25 March to 31 March.
