Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 18 February to 24 February, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 37.03 per kilo. This is an increase of 2.5 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

1Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. Up to 2012 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 13 163 tonnes in the period from 18 February to 24 February, a decrease of 8.2 per cent from the period 11 February to 17 February.

Norway exported 474 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 35.22 per kilo in the period from 18 February to 24 February.
