Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 11 February to 17 February, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 36.13 per kilo. This is an increase of 3.7 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

1Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. Up to 2012 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 14 332 tonnes in the period from 11 February to 17 February, an increase of 5.1 per cent from the period 4 February to 10 February.

Norway exported 382 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 33.11 per kilo in the period from 11 February to 17 February.
