Decline in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 5 March to 11 March, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 28.64 per kilo. This is a decrease of 0.5 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 15 525 tonnes in the period from 5 March to 11 March, a decrease of 1.9 per cent from the period 27 February to 4 March.

Norway exported 731 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 28.70 per kilo in the period from 5 March to 11 March.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
