Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 20 February to 26 February, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 29.84 per kilo. This is an increase of 4.7 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 14 382 tonnes in the period from 20 February to 26 February, an increase of 5.6 per cent from the period 13 February to 19 February.

Norway exported 1 062 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 28.01 per kilo in the period from 20 February to 26 February.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
