Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 27 August to 2 September, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 29.10 per kilo. This is an increase of 5.2 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 16 542 tonnes in the period from 27 August to 2 September, an increase of 6.5 per cent from the period 20 August to 26 August.

Norway exported 756 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 29.08 per kilo in the period from 27 August to 2 September.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
