Decline in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 25 June to 1 July, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 26.90 per kilo. This is a decline of 2.5 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 15 826 tonnes in the period from 25 June to 1 July, a decrease of 5.4 per cent from the period 18 June to 24 June.

Norway exported 1 023 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 31.05 per kilo in the period from 25 June to 1 July.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
