Increase in export prices of fresh salmon

In the period from 18 June to 24 June, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 27.59 per kilo. This is an increase of 6.4 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 16 734 tonnes in the period from 18 June to 24 June, a decline of 5 per cent from the period 11 June to 17 June.

Norway exported 1 071 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 29.34 per kilo in the period from 18 June to 24 June.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
