Export price of fresh salmon NOK 29.51 per kilo in week 21

In the period from 21 May to 27 May, the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 29.51 per kilo. This is a decline of 5.6 per cent from the previous seven-day period.

The export quantity of fresh salmon was 16 542 tonnes in the period from 21 May to 27 May, an increase of 14.7 per cent from the period 14 May to 20 May.

Norway exported 642 tonnes of frozen salmon at NOK 30.92 per kilo in the period from 21 May to 27 May.

Postponed release

Export of salmon, weekly figures week 21 was released Tuesday 5 June 2012 due to the strike in the public sector. Original date of release was Wednesday 30 May 2012.

Due to changes in the Norwegian customs nomenclature 2012 the selected commodity numbers for fresh salmon are 03.02.1411 and 03.02.1419 and frozen salmon 03.03.1311 and 03.03.1319. In 2011 the commodity numbers were 03.02.1201, 03.02.1202, 03.03.2201 and 03.03.2202.
