Fewer passengers on international flights

There were 6.9 million passengers on board international flights in the 3rd quarter of 2016; a decrease of 2.1 per cent compared to the same quarter in 2015.

Airport passengers on domestic flights increased by 64 400 or 0.8 per cent to 8.1 million in the same period.

There were 15.1 million airport passengers on international and domestic flights in the 3rd quarter of 2016, which is 81 200 fewer than in the same period last year.

More passengers on international flights at Oslo Gardermoen

There were a total of 4.4 million passengers at Oslo Gardermoen on international flights. This is 4.0 per cent or 166 400 passengers more than that in the 3rd quarter of 2015. Moss Rygge, Stavanger Sola and Haugesund Karmøy had a decrease of passengers on their international flights by 190 300, 81 300 and 13 300 respectively.

Decrease in goods transport

A total of 37 900 tonnes of goods were transported at Norwegian airports in the 3rd quarter of 2016. This is a decrease of 5 700 tonnes or 13 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2015. A total of 26 400 tonnes were transported to and from Norway, which is a decrease of 3 per cent.
