High building prices in Scandinavia

The European survey on comparative price levels for construction in 2005 shows that Norway, Sweden and Denmark are among the most expensive countries.

The price levels are spread over five country groups, of which Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland Netherland and United Kingdom are in the most expensive group. In these countries, the construction price levels are at least 20 per cent higher than the EU27 average, and more than twice as high compared with the Eastern European countries. The survey includes 33 European countries and is part of the European-OECD purchasing Power Parities (PPP) program.
