Switzerland and Norway most expensive

The European survey on comparative price levels for construction in 2009 shows that Switzerland and Norway are the most expensive countries for investments in construction.

Price levels for construction. Europe 2009. EU27 = 100

Together with Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden, Norway forms a group of European countries whose price levels are between 40 and 50 per cent higher than the EU27 average. In these countries the price level is about 4 times higher than in the cheapest countries in South Eastern Europe. The survey includes 37 European countries and is part of the European-OECD purchasing Power Parities (PPP) programme.
