Price drop in energy in December

The decrease in the PIF from November to December 2015 was caused by a price fall in energy products. A sharp drop in prices of crude oil, Brent Blend, and refined petroleum products was the main contributor to the decline in the PIF. The price fall in electricity was abnormal for the season. Annual change in the PIF shows a fall of 1.6 per cent from 2014 to 2015.
