No change in HICP

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for Norway showed no change from October to November 2011.

The HICP for Norway was 113.1 (2005=100) in November 2011, compared to 111.8 in November 2010. The year-to-year growth in November was 1.2 per cent, down 0.1 percentage point from October.

EU, EEA and the euro area

Preliminary data for October 2011 shows that the HICP for the EU and the EEA was 116.3, while the HICP for the euro area was 113.9. The year-to-year growth in the HICP in October was 3.4 per cent for the EU, 3.3 per cent for the EEA, and 3.0 per cent for the euro area. In the euro area, the year-to-year growth for November 2011 is estimated at 3.0 per cent.

Detailed figures for November will be published on Eurostat’s website on 15 December.
