EEA consumer prices up 2.1 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 116.1 (1996=100) in November. The year-to-year change in November was 2.1 per cent in the EEA. In comparison, the HICP for Norway increased by 1.4 per cent in the same period.

The HICP in the euro-zone was 116.4 in November, and the year-to-year change was 2.2 per cent. In advance, Eurostat estimated the growth from November 2003 to November 2004 in the euro-zone to be 2.2 per cent.

For Norway the HICP was 117.4 in November, the same as in October. From November 2003 to November 2004 the consumer prices increased by 1.4 per cent.
