Harmonized index up 0.3 per cent

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) for Norway rose by 0.3 per cent from September to October. The petrol prices were the most important single contributor to the increase.

The HICP for Norway stood at 117.4 (1996=100) in October this year compared with 115.8 in October last year. The year-to-year growth was 1.4 per cent in October, up from 1.1 per cent in September. Please see the Consumer Price Index for more details.

EEA, EU and the euro-zone

The year-to-year growth in the HICP for the EU and the EEA was 2.0 per cent in September. The increase in the euro-zone was 2.1 per cent in the same period. Eurostat's flash estimate for the year-to-year growth in the euro-zone is 2.5 per cent in October.
