EEA consumer prices up 1.8 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 113.6 (1996=100) in October. The year-to-year change in the EEA was 1.8 per cent in October. In comparison, the year-to-year growth in Norway was 1.6 per cent in October.

The HICP in the Euro-zone was 113.8 in October. The year-to-year growth in October was 2.0 per cent, down from 2.2 per cent in September.

For Norway the HICP was 116.1 in October, down 0.2 per cent from September. From October 2002 to October 2003 the consumer prices rose by 1.6 per cent, down from 1.9 per cent in September.
