Price growth of 2.3 per cent in the EEA

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 112.3 (1996=100) in February. The year-to-year change was 2.3 per cent, up from 2.1 per cent in January. In comparison, the year-to-year growth in Norway was 4.1 per cent.

The HICP in the Euro-zone was 112.5 in February. The year-to-year growth in February was 2.4 per cent, up from 2.2 per cent in January.

For Norway the HICP was 117.9 in February, up 0.3 per cent from January. From February 2002 to February 2003 the consumer prices rose by 4.1 per cent.
