EEA consumer prices up 2.1 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 111.8 in October (1996=100), up 0.2 per cent from September. The year-to-year growth was 2.1 per cent in October, compared with 1.9 per cent in September.

The HICP in the Euro-zone was 112.0 in October, up 0.3 per cent from September. The year-to-year growth in October was 2.3 per cent, up from 2.1 per cent in September.

For Norway the HICP was 114.3, up 0.2 per cent from September. The year-to-year change in the consumer prices was 1.3 per cent.
