EEA consumer prices up 1.9 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 111.2 in August (1996=100), up 0.1 per cent from July. The year-to-year growth was 1.9 per cent in August, compared to 1.8 per cent in July.

The HICP in the Euro-zone was 111.4 in August, up 0.1 per cent from July. The year-to-year growth in August was 2.1 per cent, up from 1.9 per cent in July.

For Norway the HICP was 113.3, down 0.4 per cent from July. The year-to-year change in the consumer prices was 1.1 per cent.
