Year-to-year change of 2.3 per cent

The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) for the EEA was 110.7 (1996=100) in March, an increase of 0.5 per cent from February. From March 2001 to March 2002 the HICP was 2.3 per cent, the same as February.

The HICP for the Euro-zone was 110.9 in March, up 0.6 per cent from February. The year-to-year growth in March was 2.5 per cent, up from 2.4 per cent in February.

For Norway the HICP in March was 113.6, up 0.3 per cent from February. The year-to-year change in the consumer prices was 0.4 per cent in March, unchanged from last month.
