Wholesale prices decreased by 1.8 per cent

Wholesale prices decreased by 1.8 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2011 to the 3rd quarter of 2011, but are still 5.1 per cent higher than same quarter last year. Solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and food, beverages and tobacco contributed to the decline last quarter.

Wholesale prices of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products decreased by 3.5 per cent from the 2nd quarter of 2011 to the 3rd quarter of 2011. Wholesale prices of food, beverages and tobacco decreased by 3.9 per cent in the same period.
