Minor changes in plumbing costs

The construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings increased by 0.3 per cent from April to May this year. The labour costs rose by 1.1 per cent, while the material costs increased by 0.1 per cent in the same period.

Wage statistics for the first quarter of 2011 are included in the index for May, and this is the main reason for the cost increase.

From May 2010 to May 2011 the construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings rose by 6.2 per cent. The costs of sanitary installations and heating installations increased by 6.9 and 5.4 per cent respectively in the same period.
