Minor changes in plumbing costs

The construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings rose by 0.2 per cent from April to May this year. The labour cost increased by 0.7 per cent, and the material costs increased by 0.1 per cent in the same period.

From May 2008 to May 2009, the costs of plumbing work in office and commercial buildings rose by 5.5 per cent. The costs of sanitary installations and heating installations increased by 4.4 and 6.9 per cent respectively in the same period.

Wage statistics for the first quarter of 2009 are included in the construction cost index for May.
