Plumbing costs up 1 per cent

The construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings rose by 1.0 per cent from April to May this year. In the period May 2007 to May 2008, the construction costs for plumbing work increased by 6.2 per cent.

The material costs increased by 1.4 per cent from April to May this year, and is now 7.1 per cent higher than in May 2007.

Wage statistics for the first quarter of 2008 are included in construction costs for May this year.
