Increased costs for plumbing works

From October to November this year, the construction costs of plumbing works in office and commercial buildings rose by 1.6 per cent. Wage statistics for the third quarter of 2006 are included in the construction costs, and is the main reason for the cost increase.

The labour cost rose by 3.3 per cent from October to November this year, while the material costs increased by 0.9 per cent.

In the period November 2005 to November 2006, the construction costs of plumbing works rose by 9.0 per cent. Compared with the same period last year, the costs of sanitary installations and heating installations were respectively 9.5 and 8.4 per cent higher in November this year.
