Increase in construction costs
The construction costs of residential buildings rose by 0.5 per cent from January to February this year. Labour costs increased by 0.9 per cent, while material costs rose by 0.3 per cent in the same period.

Wage statistics for the fourth quarter of 2013 are included in the construction costs of February 2013, and are the main reason for the cost increase from January.
From February 2013 to February 2014, the constructions costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses rose by 3.0 and 2.7 per cent respectively.
