Small changes in construction costs

The construction cost index for residential buildings rose by 0.1 per cent from May to June this year. From June 2008 to June 2009, the construction costs increased by 2.1 per cent. The material costs increased by 0.4 per cent in the same period.

The construction costs for both multi-dwelling houses and detached houses rose by 0.1 per cent from May to June this year. From June last year to June this year, the construction costs increased by 1.9 per cent for multi-dwelling houses and 2.2 per cent for detached houses of wood respectively.
