Construction costs up 0.6 per cent

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.6 per cent from September to October this year. The material costs rose by 1.0 per cent in the same period.

The construction costs of detached houses of wood increased by 0.7 per cent, while costs of multi-dwelling houses rose by 0.3 per cent the last month. The material costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 1.2 and 0.6 per cent respectively in the same period.

From October last year to October this year the construction costs of residential buildings rose by 7.4 per cent. The construction costs of detached houses of wood and multi-dwelling houses increased by 8.5 and 5.6 per cent respectively.
