Construction costs up 3.5 per cent

The construction costs of residential buildings increased by 3.5 per cent from June last year to June this year. The material costs rose by 3.1 per cent in the same period.

The construction costs of multi-dwelling houses increased by 4.1 per cent, while costs for detached houses of wood rose by 3.2 per cent last year. The material costs of multi-dwelling houses and detached houses of wood increased by 3.9 and 2.8 per cent respectively.

From May to June this year the construction costs of residential buildings increased by 0.2 per cent, while the material costs rose by 0.5 per cent in the same period.
