Small changes in the construction costs

From April to May the cost of materials for painting, paperhanging and floor coating decreased by 0.3 per cent. Over the course of last year this subindex increased less than 2 per cent.

The subindices for plumbing and electrical installation work did not change from April to May 2000. From May 1999 to May 2000 these subindices increased about 6 per cent. The construction costs in total increased 3.3 per cent within the same period.

1  Building cost index for residential buildings is weighted by index for detached houses of wood and index for multi-dwelling houses.
