Road construction costs up

Road construction costs increased by 2.3 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2013 to the fourth quarter of 2014. Labour costs rose by 3.2 per cent, while machinery and material costs increased by 2.6 and 1.6 per cent respectively in the same period.

From the third to the fourth quarter of 2014, the road construction costs decreased by 0.7 per cent.

Road maintenance costs increased by 1.7 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2013 to the fourth quarter of 2014.
